Golf Shop Gossip
Finally finished, after 6 seemingly long seasons, the renovations are complete. We opened the final two holes on July 1,2008, and they were both spectacular. The changes to # 7 are beyond belief. I feel this could be a signature hole, with the beauty of the backdrop as well as a very good par 3. Each one of us will have our own favourite hole.
July 1st we had a nice Canada Day shot-gun, cut the ribbon on #6 and had a nice moment for our beloved Louise Walton. It was a great day.
I would just like to bring everyone up to speed on a few items of interest.
I wish to introduce the golf shop staff: Associate Professional; Dave Nash, Golf Shop Manager: Nicole Williams, Golf Shop Attendants: Nadine & Dana.
The golf committee consists of:
Kevin Fraser, Gord Gibbons, Trish Gibbons, Jennifer Steadman, Ken Murray, Jeff Holmes, Carl Glatt and Lorenzo Zeppieri.
The new staff and I are here to help in any way we can.
If there are any questions or concerns with regards to any of our events, please talk to one of these members or in writing, address it to the golf committee and leave it in the golf shop.
I am a big believer in the club fitting process, that is why I have become a Certified Ping Club fitter, we now have the knowledge and tools to fit irons, wedges and even putters to best suit your game. Fittings are at no cost to the member and can only help you to play better.
